Semi-antique Isfahan-Najafabad Persian carpet – video
A semi-antique Isfahan carpet from Najafabad, a city west of Isfahan. Najafabad carpets follow the courtly patterns of Isfahan – medallions, fine tendrils, palmettes – and are mostly knotted from wool on a cotton warp, somewhat coarser and more robust than the silk-warp pieces from Isfahan itself.
